At Impact Xpozures, we want to produce the best product for our customers. That's why we strive to make sure that everything is correct, including spelling, image resolution and most importantly, color. Proper artwork is not an accident, it is designed to capture your audience and tell them your message, through good design and branding.

There are no magic bullets when it comes to your image. Everything in your marketing must be cohesive and your branding needs to be consistent. When you are producing your company's branding, keep in mind that simple and straight forward are the tickets to success. It's easy to get carried away with the endless number of fonts and catchy "design" elements available to everyone on their computers today but keep in mind that most often it detracts from your message and often times is not easily reproducable.

Keep it Simple
PC or MAC?
One of the first things we try to explain to people when they are designing their logos is that not only keeping it simple, but also designing it so it looks good in one color, that often saves a lot of headaches down the road. Once it looks good in one color, then you can start to experiment with two colors or more. That way when you decide to start marketing your business, it gives you a lot more flexibility for printing your logo on different items, not just your website or business cards.
Will the debate ever end? Windows or Mac? Which one is better? The answer is simple, which ever one you prefer. It's the age old Ford vs. Chevy, they will both get you from point A to point B, so the days when Macs were for design and PC's were for accounting are pretty much over. This day and age, about the biggest difference between the two are the fonts, and as long as everyone is on the same page when we proof, it shouldn't be an issue. Ultimately, we like high resolution PDF files or flattened .tif files, but we can accept many different file formats for printing. We can accept files that are prepared in professional design applications, like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign (that are part of Adobe's Creative Suite), CorelDraw or Affinity Designer or Photo. To help alleviate font issues, especially with logos, we highly reccomend that any fonts are outlined to prevent any unwanted issues.

The common file types are:

Adobe Photoshop: .psd .tif .jpeg

Adobe Illustrator: .ai .eps

Adobe InDesign: .indd .idml

Adobe Acrobat: .pdf

CorelDraw .cdr .eps

Affinity Designer .afdesign

Affinity Photo .afphoto

There are many different software programs available and many of them will work, some applications such as Microsoft Word and Publisher can export to a .pdf, so they can work, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
